As I sit Patiently(dripping in sarcasam) for my spring sale items to arrive, I took my first leap in animating my display I built my first arch. My question is, Do I need to seal the female ends on the strands or will they be ok.. I know dumb question but I dont want any surprises..

ps, this is I'm sure this will not be my first question.

Thanks:D

They should be OK.  As long as connections or loose ends aren't resting on the ground where dirty water can puddle, then you shouldn't have problems.  Usually, rain/snow water in and of itself doesn't affect the circuit.  It is when it gets mixed with dirt or other chemicals (leftover fertilizer on the ground), that it can affect the circuit, particularly GFCI circuits.  If possible, it wouldn't hurt for the open female end to be pointed downwards though, but if not it should still be fine.

PS: that uses 1 or 3 questions that newbies are allowed.  Make the other 2 good.   Just kidding.   Bring on the questions.

ok. in the 3 question rule for newbies, how many redirects and subparts per question are allowed. And when asking for clarifications may I refer back to the original question and subparts?

Each sub-question counts as a half question.  Clarifications only count as a 1/4 question.  However, if have to keep clarifying the obvious (for those that aren't too bright), then there is a penalty deduction of an additional half question.  :P

If you run out of available questions, you are allowed to "buy" additional questions.  5 additional questions will be answered for each LOR controller you send me.  :D  As I am sure you have read here, this hobby/addiction gets expensive!  Mistakes (requiring questions) are costly.

Since you are new, I will only count your above questions as clarifications, though they are clearly additional questions.  Therefore, only 1/4 deduction for each one, so you are down to only 1 1/2 questions left.

Lester, together we can have 6 questions.  Let's make sure we don't ask the same question and hope they do not catch on to us.

Mike, sorry, if I counted correctly I believe you only have a 1/2 question left since you used 2 1/2 in the "Difference in controllers."  (Yes, even questions about the beach still count.)  Therefore, with your half and Lester's 1 1/2, you guys have 2 questions combined left.
Don't forget about your option to buy more though (see above).

This is something that happens every year and I, for one, am getting sick of it!!!  Newbies don't exist simply to be taken advantage of!  And you should know that Surfing dude - without needing to be reminded!  No one tried to snooker you this way.  This is disgraceful..

Look guys - Surfing was scamming you.  He knows full well that the official rate is 10 (TEN) questions answered per controller, NOT 5!  I apologize for the way he was trying to take advantage of you.  You can rest assured that the Sequencing Council will take a close look at this.  The information you received regarding sub-questions and clarifications, however, was correct.

You were also mislead about where to send the controller.  Additional questions can only be purchased through an official Beta Tester.  Please PM me and I will give you the correct address to send the controller.

Lester,

I feel that both George and Surfing are correct.  I do not think they caught the statement that I have quoted from you, If they had, they would have informed you of the penalty for not being truthful. If this was not for first question, what was?? I will let the Pro's decide on if you will be penalized for this or not. Since I am only a second year "devotee", I can not tell you what they will decide. Maybe you will get your question count upped and have only one left, Good luck, you are in the hands of the Pro's now and your fate in in their hands.  Be kinda nice guys.

I think the Math Majors need to re-read the OP, The Rule of 3's still applies, but only 80% were answered.  Clamp on the Kill-O-Watt and recheck.  If LEDS were used then it was only .088% and Global Warming was averted..  LOL!!

I am trying to work with all the newbies, Feel free to contact me. We will form a secret society of LOR newbie questioning, I for one dont want to waste good questions because a 1/4 question has been deducted somewhere. Lordf knows that I will be one asking a few questions. But being someone said that newbies get 10 questions and we were being scammed by someone whos name has a surfing reference we need to stand together! Will that be ok with the council? OH CRAP I just asked another Question,, %&*(T^@#@@

Will the secret Newbie Society have a secret hand shake?  Can we have a decoder ring?  Crap, does that count as a newbie question?  When does Newbie status change?  How does one know when they change from Newbie to Oldbie?
