I updated my software and opened the sequence editor and it gaveme a window saying that open of port serial port has failed.  I do no think it is because of the upgrade.  My question is do I just neeed to re do what I did to assign the usb port when I first hooked my controller to the computer?  Sorry I amm not knowledgeable of the terminology.

Jim,

You did not mention if you have a USB device connected. You will get an error when you launch the sequence editor with no port talking to the controllers.

Chuck

nope there was no usb device connected.  I accidently opened the sequence editior instead of the schedule editior and that message popped up so I figured something had happened.  So all looks ok thank you Chuck.
