DMX is shorthand for the most common protocol that is used to communicate between lighting consoles, and digital stage lighting. The iDMX is a communications adapter between the LOR protocol and data bus, to the DMX protocol and bus. So if you have some DMX fixtures that you want to control as part of your LOR show, it is the supported way to do it.
